I wrote this post on “invited advertising” a year ago:

As we look ahead and address the limitations of today’s marketing methods, the mobile will emerge as the fulcrum for the new options. Companies which recognise and adopt mobile marketing are likely to see significant early benefits – and lock their competitors out in the customer attention game. Tomorrow’s world of mobile marketing is going to be built around three tenets: Publish-Subscribe, Multi-Modal Viewing and Instant Sharing.

First thing which came to my mind after reading your description of invertising(invited advertising) is Permission based marketing.

This is no doubt a biggest opportunity for advertisers, coupled with two way interactive channel, be it a mobile or a web.

http://www.eventNu.com is one such example, where users are subscribing to find about the events happening in their city and a great opportunity to all event managers, small or big to reach upto user’s twitter account, facebook, email and establish two way communication and do more.
