Blog Break

August 27th, 2012 · 62 Comments

For the past four years, I have been blogging daily. Somewhere, the ideas are becoming repetitive. So, I decided it is time to take a break. I will continue to write occasionally.

Blogging has been something I have been doing for the past 12+ years. Perhaps, it is also time to think of a different format. Let’s see. Will think during this break!

Thanks very much for your support, and I hope to be back soon.

It is right decision. For pretty long time, i was thinking about it. It is correct decision you have taken.

I would suggest you to attempt for book writing. It can be non fiction type. Think about it..

    Dear Rajesh,

For someone who reads your blog almost everyday – this isn’t great news. However, happy that you will get more time to crystallise your ideas. Thanks for igniting many a thoughts and being a teacher. Look forward for more writings in the future.

    Regards, Ashish

    Dear Rajesh:

    Thanks for the update.

Though I admire your candid disclosure on the reason of the hiatus, I am disappointed to experience the discontinuity in your daily blogs.

I have read ‘all’ of your blogs in the last 4 odd-years. In fact, I was tempted to send an email to you yesterday when I visited your blog and it was not updated – I thought there must be the hosting server acting up!

I follow a few blogs on a daily basis, including emergic – almost like a ritual. It was a source of great ideas and it was almost like talking to you. Your narrative style woven with personal experiences made a big difference.

However, what I loved the most about your blog was the ‘discipline’ of writing and updating it on a daily basis. It is a big learning for entrepreneurs and corporate professionals alike – to write a blog for a few days is relatively easier. However, to write in day in and day out for several years is something that need extremely high levels of discipline.

It also reinforces my belief that big achievements need sustained efforts and hence, persistence is the key to success.

I hope you resume writing soon. I wish you good luck.

    Best, Vijay Shukla

    Rajesh,

While of course all of us at Netcore know of your discipline and persistence that has helped preserve a daily blog for so many years –
as someone who used to previously read emergic and many of your other writings daily, and more recently mostly only emergic over every weekend, the hiatus – while will be refreshing for you – will be missed.
