Within Netcore, we have always spent some time on innovative efforts. For the most part, these haven’t worked out into something substantial, but there are many ideas which have come through our efforts, some of which have helped on the enterprise side of the business.
The MyToday SMS services (free and paid) were one such effort through the years. Many years before that, we had BlogStreet. Now, we are working on phone.cc. Many of the ideas we have worked on have been in the consumer space.
In recent times, we have also got a group working on new ideas in the enterprise space, especially around mobility. The hope is that we can see some innovative products which can be game-changers in the marketplace.
Finally, Netcore also has a majority stake on OneIndia, India’s largest local language Internet portals. With a reach of over 10 million unique visitors in India and abroad, OneIndia’s monetisation is through Internet ads.
